Not happy like a clown.
Happy as in at ease. Enjoying your life.
Not running around in a mild state of panic at every moment wondering when the next shoe was going to drop.
Not holding on for dear life through sheer willpower because you feel like any moment everything's gonna fall apart.
You know life doesn't have to be this way. You know it's not possible that everyone else lives their life with this much panic. So you know there must be a way out — but what is it?
You've tried all of the things that they said would work. Why doesn't it work for you?
I bet if I were to inject you with truth serum, you would confess that deep down you fear there's something wrong with you.
And that if you could somehow stop feeling like that, you could finally stop running.
Listen. I'm not a doctor. And I'm not a therapist.
But I am a man who knows what it's like to live every day like you're holding on for dear life.
I am a man who knows what it's like to try everything they said would work and still be disappointed.
I am a man who knows what it's like to stare up at the ceiling and wonder, what is my problem? Why can't I get it right?
So I know what it's like to hold on for dear life.
And I know that moment of exaltation and relief of finally finding something that works.
Now a lot of things are supposed to "work," so let me be clear about what I mean.
It works in the way you always hoped something would work.
Not by forcing you to come up with a lot of willpower that you can't sustain.
Or by just numbing you out to how unhappy you are.
Or by trying to hype you up with a whole lot of motivation.
By helping you make sense of yourself and the world around you instead of demanding you generate heroic energy for sustained periods of time.
It takes all the parts of you that don't make sense — all of those thoughts that are running around in your head demanding your attention, and all the ways that you feel pulled apart into a thousand different directions — and brings you back to the center again.
Where you don't feel crazy.
And you feel at ease.
Every day you feel yourself becoming more yourself.
Every day your experiences in life teach you, and you go to bed at night feeling like you've progressed in some way.
Not falling headfirst onto the pillow in pure exhaustion and panic, wondering how you're going to come up with the energy to do this all over again tomorrow.
You become more skilled at living life.
More skilled at getting what you want.
More skilled at connecting to the people closest to you comfortably.
Does it work for everyone?
Of course not. Nothing works for everyone.
In my experience working with customers for the last 4 years, it's about [___]%.
But the people it does work for, it works wonders.
